Art Ware

This body of work is all pit fired, the most ancient of firing methods. Pieces are thrown then burnished and carefully placed in a pit. The pieces are surrounded with wood and other organic and inorganic elements to produce color in the pieces. The pit is then lit on fire. As the fire burns the flames and smoke kiss the pieces to create swirls and flashes.
